The charity gala premiere of Chitrangada took place on Sunday, 23 September 2012 at the Gold Hall, SQUARE, Glass Entrance, Mont des Arts/Kunstberg, 1000 Brussels. The evening, which was supported by the Embassy of India, Belgium, provided an all-round perspective of Nobel laureate Rabindranath Tagore. The evening was in aid of Santiniketan Sishutirtha.

20:00 Live performance with singers Manini Mukhopadhyay, Sayan Bandyopadhyay, Kaberi Chatterjee and musicians from Santiniketan, India: The Story of Gitanjali. Cast (and Gitanjali poem languages): Adriana Opromolla (Italian), Ágnes Karzás (Hungarian), Alexandra Shlyopkina (Russian), Arlette Schreiber (French), Jee Reusens (Dutch), Josef Schwarz (Czech), Konstanze Hanreich (German), Luisa Castellanos (Spanish), Maria Glowacz (Polish), Olga Profili (Greek), Prajna Paramita (English), Raluca Zaharia (Romanian) & Sofie Gardestedt (Swedish). The Dutch poem is a new translation by Victor van Bijlert from the original Bengali.
